3 Times In 3 Years Is 3 Times Too Much
Posted: November 29, 2005 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a comment »It’s 2005. Where is my Star Trek transporter technology? I just want to put all my stuff in one area of my apartment and beam it to Nashville. Is that so much to ask? Evidently it is. It’s been raining all night. I hope it clears up because we have to pick up the truck on Thursday. The roof is leaking. I still have too much crap. I’ve had it for today. Goodnight.
Thanksgiving Is Tryptophantastic
Posted: November 26, 2005 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a comment »ï My soon-to-be mother-in-law was kind enough to make me some Tofurkey this Thanksgiving. So while everyone was falling slowly into a tryptophan coma following the festivities I was feeling great. Sure, I ate too much. I had seconds and thirds. I had leftovers yesterday and today. It’s the holidays. I’ve been watching every little thing I eat for at least two years and it’s exhausting. So, for the last few days I’ve been indulging. Besides, I’m about to pack up and move the rest of our crap to Nashville. I’m going to burn about 10,000 calories over the next week. Yeah…
ï Tomorrow is our engagement party here at the Cozza house. And you all know what that means, right? Yep – more food! I’m gonna roll back all the way to NashVegas.
ï MySpace is the devil. Ronee and I both deleted our accounts and you should too. If you need to ask why then you REALLY need to do it immediately.
ï There’s only one thing that puts me more in the holiday mood than an Egg Nog Latte. It’s called Turkey Hill Egg Nog ice cream. It’s nog-o-licious. Ronee thinks I’m nog-o-nuts.
ï Hope you are all having a fantastic weekend! Soon Ronee and I will be back in Tennessee in our new apartment. I can’t wait!
Happy Birthday To Me
Posted: November 21, 2005 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a comment »My Grandma Margaret called me last night. I’m feeling under the weather so I’m afraid I wasn’t very friendly…to her or Ronee. Sorry. Hi Grandma (she reads this every day – no kidding!). So yeah…37 today. Going under…
T-Minus 4 Days
Posted: November 19, 2005 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a comment »Flying up to Jersey on Thursday for Thanksgiving, Ronee’s parents 30th anniversary, our engagement party, one last pre-marriage counseling session and anything else we can squeeze in before packing up the rest of her stuff and my stuff and heading back down to Nashville the following weekend. I just L-O-V-E moving. But after almost 6 weeks it will be really fantastic to be with Ronee again. Hopefully this time it’s for good!
Monday is my birthday. Yeah, I can’t believe I’m going to be 37 either. This one really snuck up on me. It’s going to be a Black Rose District birthday for me again! Mr. Quiggle just released The 4 Horsemen Of The Apocalypse T-Shirt Series. I LOVE IT! I’m living in Black Rose gear. Where’s my sponsorship Dave!?!
I’m enjoying having a lazy weekend. I don’t have any shows or other social events to go to. It’s a good thing because I’m feeling sort of sick. That change of seasons cold thing is going around and so far I’ve avoided it fairly well. But I feel like I’m coming down with it at least a little. Time to rest and take it easy.

Days Bleeding Into Days Blending Into Nights
Posted: November 16, 2005 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a comment »Work is busy, but great. The days and weeks are just buzzing by. I can’t believe I have already lived in Nashville for 5 weeks! Where does the time go? Thanksgiving is next week for pete’s sake! Who IS Pete anyway? I have no idea.
Went to see Koufax (eh), I Am The Avalanche (pretty great actually…brandon who used to be in Further Seems Forever as a tour guitar player is in the band), Waking Ashland (awesome…mainly who I came to see) and The Working Title (left midway through the first song…just say no to romulan haired singers who sound like they were the singer from Crash Test Dummies – remember them….yeah…not so hot). Anyway, the club was really cool. But unfortunately every other person seemed to be a freakin’ smoker. NOT into smoke…in case you hadn’t heard (smirk).
I ordered a breakfast sandwich today at Jack In The Box- where speaking and understanding english is evidently not a pre-requisite for employment. “No meat” I said. “No cheese?” she replies. “No. I said ‘No Meat’…No Canadian Bacon.” “It doesn’t come with that. “OK, I say” defeated, knowing full well from seeing it in the damn picture on the menu that it does. The guy two cars in front of me is evidently ordering food for a small army, or perhaps a football team as bag after bag is being passed out the window. It’s taking so long that I shut my engine off. The guy behind me is honking. Yeah, that’s totally helping. So anyway. I pull up to the window and say “are you SURE that there is no meat on that sandwich?” She says “it don’t come with it.” Oh brother, I am in trouble. I pull away…I open my sandwich and there is a giant slab of ham/canadian bacon on it. Sigh…
I watched Slap Shot and Slap Shot 2 (you didn’t know they made a #2 did you? me either) this week. Hockey movies, in case you didn’t guess. I love the Hanson Brothers! They are hilarious.
Some words to the wise…
“Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap.” - Luke 21:34 (NIV)
“Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.” – Ephesians 5:17-19 (NIV)
“I am saying that you shouldn’t act as if everything is just fine when one of your Christian companions is promiscuous or crooked, is flip with God or rude to friends, gets drunk or becomes greedy and predatory. You can’t just go along with this, treating it as acceptable behavior.” – 1 Corintians 5:11 (The Message)
Let's Go Predators
Posted: November 15, 2005 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a comment »ï Mr. Lewis, Mr. Frye and I braved the crazy weather to go see The Predators VS The Kings game. The game was incredible! We had awesome seats about 4 rows from the ice. I have never been that close and it was amazing. You could see every check, hear every word they were saying to each other. It was really intense. They were tied 1-1 in the first period, 2-2 in the second period and then the Predators won 3-2 in the end. Awesome. Headed over to Mafiaoza’s for salad and pizza after which was great too. Yep, that’s about it. Oh – I heard a tornado siren in real life for the first time. That was scary/awesome.

My help and glory are in God -granite-strength and safe-harbor-God– So trust him absolutely, people; lay your lives on the line for him. God is a safe place to be. (The Message)
