Running, Sort Of

I spent 45 minutes on the Star Trac cross trainer this morning. Hoo boy. That’s some fun. I don’t think my shirt could have held any more sweat.

I am definitely interested in seeing this documentary Who Killed The Electric Car? Also DEFINITELY want to check out this movie called, The Illusionist when it comes out. Sweet.

Went to Ronee’s recruitment party for the Nashville Rollergirls at The Red Door bar last night. There was a lot of people there. They move to their new location at the Tennessee State Fair Sports Arena next week. Pretty damn exciting if you ask me. Ronee and one of her teammates, Brit, will be on the radio here in Nashville tomorrow on Venus FM’s Lulu & Trish show.

Think you last date was a bummer? Then, check this out. Yikes.

Somebody said to me at a party recently that there is no “proven science” to the theory of global warming. Oh really? Then how do you explain this.

Israel is not screwing around. And this is all because of JUST ONE captured solider. Imagine if they had captured 2 or 3.

Code Blue

Warped Tour was hot as hades. I literally thought I was going to pass out a couple of times. Highlights…getting to see Joan Jett (amazing) and the Buzzcocks (also amazing). Getting two pairs of Vans and a wallet. Oh also seeing and meeting Sherwood. Great band, great show. Other than that it was just really hot.

Ronee was on the TV news this weekend. It was a story on the Nashville Rollergirls. Thursday she is going to be on the radio. She’s turning into quite the celebrity! Ha ha. She hates it. She is really good, though. I can’t wait until they have their first bout. Tonight they are having a recruitment party at The Red Door in East Nashville.

I went to see my new doctor. My blood tests all turned out good and my EKG was clean. My cholesterol and blood pressure are still high though. So now I’m on new heart medication and back on Lipitor for my cholesterol. I have a full physical still coming in August. I feel a lot better. Back to my exercise regime too. Worked out this morning. Felt good, amazingly.

My parents and Ronee’s parents are coming into town later this week. It’s going to be a big family 4th of July. Our parents have never met, so that will be cool. Looking forward to having Monday and Tuesday off from work.

Picked up one of my favorite bands, Park, as a client at work. Stoked about that. They having a new CD coming out on July 25th.

I guess that’s about it for now. Thanks for your readership and for stopping by.

Further Not-So Forever

Ronee and I went down to Atlanta for the final show of one of our favorite bands/people, Further Seems Forever. I manned a camera for the show which was taped for a live DVD. It was a sad day. I loved that band.

Speaking of another bummer, I just found out one of my favorite young/up-and-coming bands As Cities Burn is breaking up. Come on people. You’re young. Stop getting married and breaking up your bands. You have your whole life ahead of you.

Watched the movie Cheaper By The Dozen last night as well as the shows Entourage, Lucky Louie and Tourgasm on HBO.

This Wednesday I’ll be working at the Zambooie booth at Warped Tour in Nashville. If you are there you should come up and say hello.

Mall Hopping

We had a really great weekend.

Friday, went to Green Hills mall and did a little shopping. Didn’t really get anything. They didn’t have what we were looking for. Got to see the new MacBook’s at the Apple store, though. Those are nice. Went home and had dinner and watched Back To The Future III.

Did some laundry and went swimming at our complex pools on Saturday. I love to swim. Especially when it is 90 out. After we were done with that we went to Opry Mills mall and did more shopping. Well, mostly Ronee. Ha. Had lunch in the food court.

Sunday went to church. Afterwards we went to lunch at Bread & Company (yum). Then Ronee had roller derby practice. Went home and took it easy for an hour or so and then headed to Huntsville, Alabama for the “Rocket City Rumble” roller derby match between the Thrill Killers and the Red Hot Riots. It was fun and cool to see an actual game in person.

Got home late last night and went to sleep.

P.S. I got my new Descendents Vans on Friday. I love them.

I Forgot…

to register my car within the 90 days of the inspection. So now I have to go get my car inspected again. I hate it when that happens. Where did those 90 days go? Flew by, I guess.

Went to see that new movie The Break-Up with Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Anniston. Good movie, but not a comedy. First 20 minutes or so – very funny – and then it got real serious. Enjoyed it though. I really love Vaughn and Favreau (Swingers, Made, etc.) together. They are a great duo. They definitely should make more movies together.

Picked up the new CD from Damone. Some songs I really like and some songs I find myself thinking “is this a different band”? It was only $8.99 at Tower, so I’m going to let it slide. Overall most of the songs are good and rockin’.

What else?

Ate some sushi at Wild Oats in Green Hills. Got some stuff at Target ( an air purifier to hopefully help me with my allergies! ). And we watched the season finales of The Sopranos (awful) and Big Love (awesome) on HBO on Sunday night. That was after Ronee and I double teamed making a big pan of lasagna for our couples group. It turned out pretty good if I do say so myself.

Work blew by today. Very busy. I have to do another interview for my show tomorrow morning at 10am. Rolling right along.

Tomorrow is 6/6/6. Enjoy.
