Posted: February 24, 2007 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a comment »Ronee and I had Italian class today. It was good. Well, it was good except that last night I threw my back out somehow. I stepped off the curb – not funny, not hard, etc. – and suddenly I could barely walk. So yeah, that sucks. It’s really messed up. Now I’m home watching the Predators playing the Red Wings. It’s the end of the 1st period and we’re leading 1-0. Good game. I took some Tylenol with Codeine so I’m maintaining for now. Ronee is at a nanny job unti late. So yeah, that’s about it I guess. If you feel like praying for my back, I’d appreciate it very much.
Reality Check

A donor to the Republican party is being accused of financing terrorists.
9 people were killed in Iraq today when a gas tanker was bombed.
We’re sending more troops to Iraq, but the UK is bringing 7,000 home.
We also just deployed a group of aircraft carriers south of Iran along with an accompanying strike group of ships. Does anybody care? Probably not.
Honestly, what we really care about is a no-talent, white trash pop “singer’s” hairdo and the last wishes of a Playboy centerfold gold digger nutjob. Disgusting.
It’s all downhill from here, folks. Don’t say old Bill didn’t warn you.

MTV is laying off 200 something employees including some executives that have been there 10+ years. One can only home this means they hope to return to playing actual music videos. But I’m not holding my breath, that’s for sure.
Just in case you forgot, our troops are still in Afghanistan. Yeah, Bush’s plan there? Extend the duty of troops already there. Nice.
Honestly I don’t know how much more I can take of these labels that we keep using in this country of “liberal” and “conservative.” For those of you who have been regular readers of my blog you know this is not the first time I’ve brought this up. Sorry to you, folks. But honestly, do you really think that it’s right or fair to try to categorize people into one of two camps? No, it’s not. And when people say “oh man, the liberals are really going to be upset about this” or “the conservatives are trying to push their agenda on us”, etc. it makes me want to punch somebody square in the mouth. CUT IT OUT!!! There are just good people and bad people. Good politicians (well, maybe not) and bad politicians. I also am losing patience with people who are so supportive of one party or the president when they clearly don’t have a grasp of what is going on. I feel like many young people have inherited their parents party affliations in the same way they have inherited their parents religion. Be yourself. Be an individual. Research things and come to your own conclusions. Stop being sheeple.
Damn you, Peter Pan and your peanutty poison.
Come on, Rudy. Make it official already, would ya?
The Apathetic Party
Posted: February 14, 2007 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a comment »“You know what the most powerful party in this country is, right? It’s not the Republicans, it’s not the Democrats, it’s the apathetic party. It’s mostly people who are either discouraged or have checked out or whatever. They’re the ones who are calling the shots. I feel like a lot of times, people become discouraged in life, and they’re like, I don’t care. Whatever. Then they become apathetic. How do you affect change? You become encouraged. You find courage.” – Ian Mackaye Read the rest of the interview here.
Chrysler just cut 13,000 jobs. Bush is on the war path again with Iran. 80 people died in a bombing in Iraq this week. But evidently what we’re really concerned with here in America is the death of Anna Nicole Smith. It makes me sick.
